Made for MiniLD #24 in *nearly* 48 hours. I went over by a few hours, however I am ill so bugger it. It’s close enough. It’s nice to have made something which isn’t a remake. It brings me joy to my face.

I’ve made a flash version of the classic Amiga/Intellivision game Biplanes. I’m more or less happy with it, however I’ve spent too much time fiddling with minutia and I wanted it wrapped up before this weekend’s mini Ludum Dare. So this arbitrary end point will do.

And not with my backside, no. With Flash. More specifically by coding AS3 with the Flixel library, then compiling with Flex. It turns out you don’t actually need to use the Flash GUI, or even to have Flash at all. I did not know this until about 3 days ago.
AS3 is very odd, as if by some foul art javascript was crossed with goblin men. It can move by daylight and has return types, and types for that matter. I think I actually kind of like it. I shall have to play further.
